JAKARTA, The Kabar News—Public satisfaction with the performance of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration in law enforcement and corruption control reached 62.1 percent after two years in office, according to a new survey by the Indonesia Center for Politics and Law Studies (IndocPolls).
In the poll, 34.1 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s performance in the sector, while 3.2 percent declined to answer or said they did not know.
IndocPolls interviewed 1,200 respondents across Indonesia’s 38 provinces from Oct. 15 to 20, 2026. The organization used face-to-face interviews and multistage random sampling. It reported a margin of error of approximately 2.9 percentage points at a 95 percent confidence level.
Overall, 57.4 percent of respondents approved of the administration’s performance. That figure included 7.3 percent who said they were very satisfied. Meanwhile, 40 percent expressed dissatisfaction and 2.6 percent did not provide an assessment.

“Public satisfaction reached 57.4 percent during the first two years of the Prabowo-Gibran administration,” IndocPolls communications director Taufik Ch said in a statement cited by Media Indonesia.
Defense and security recorded the strongest result among the sectors measured, with 70.4 percent of respondents expressing satisfaction. A further 24.9 percent were dissatisfied, while 4.7 percent gave no answer.
Taufik attributed the result partly to Prabowo’s military background and his previous tenure as defense minister. He also cited the government’s procurement of defense equipment as a factor that may have shaped public perceptions.
Law enforcement and corruption control ranked second at 62.1 percent. Taufik said the government’s handling of major corruption cases contributed to the relatively strong rating.
“Under the Prabowo-Gibran administration, authorities have uncovered major corruption cases without discrimination, including cases involving the government’s flagship MBG [Free Meals program],” he said.

The survey measured public perceptions rather than independently assessing the outcomes of investigations, prosecutions or court proceedings. IndocPolls’ explanation therefore represents its interpretation of the survey result, not proof that one particular case caused the higher rating.
For comparison, Voxpol Center reported in an October survey that 52.3 percent of respondents approved of the government’s law enforcement and anti-corruption performance. The survey also showed that 64.6 percent believed authorities enforced the law impartially. However, differences in questionnaires and polling periods prevent a direct comparison between the two surveys.
IndocPolls found weaker public confidence in the economy. Only 43.8 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction, while 50.6 percent voiced dissatisfaction and 5.6 percent gave no answer.
Taufik linked the result to concerns about the rupiah, stock-market performance and changes in the finance minister’s post. The survey release, however, did not measure the individual effect of each issue on respondents’ answers.

Environmental protection and disaster management received the lowest rating. Satisfaction stood at 31.3 percent, compared with 51.1 percent who were dissatisfied. Another 17.9 percent did not give a definitive response.
Taufik said forest and land fires (karhutla), haze and a series of natural disasters had influenced public attention toward the sector. The result created a 31.1-point gap between satisfaction with defense and security and satisfaction with environmental and disaster management.
Other sectors occupied the middle of the survey. Politics and stability received 54.3 percent satisfaction, followed by education and health at 51.9 percent. Culture and religious life registered 50.1 percent.
The findings give a mixed review of the administration, with respondents giving fairly strong grades on security and law enforcement but raising more concerns about household economic conditions and environmental management. The low-ranked sectors provide clearer signals for the government about where public confidence is still weak.
