JAKARTA, Thekabarnews.com—On Monday, April 27, President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, officially inaugurated several state officials for the remainder of the 2024-2029 administration period. The ceremony was held at the State Palace in Jakarta.
The inauguration covered key positions across the cabinet, including ministers, deputy ministers, presidential special advisors, and heads of government agencies.
The administration sees the appointments as part of its effort to strengthen governance and improve policy coordination across strategic sectors.
One of the most prominent appointments was that of Mohammad Jumhur Hidayat. He officially became environment minister and head of the environmental control agency after taking the oath of office.
President Prabowo Subianto appointed Hanif Faisol Nurofiq as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs.
Former Army Chief of Staff Dudung Abdurachman took over as Head of the Presidential Staff Office, succeeding Muhammad Qodari. Muhammad Qodari moved from the Presidential Staff Office to lead the Government Communication Agency. He replaced Angga Raka Prabowo.
Hasan Nasbi, the former communications agency chief, took office as special presidential adviser for communications. Furthermore, President Prabowo Subianto appointed former migrant worker protection minister Abdul Kadir Karding as head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency.
In the event, it was President Prabowo who led the oath-taking ceremony. He asked all the newly appointed officials to swear allegiance to the 1945 Constitution. During the ceremony, the president reminded the officials to enforce the nation’s laws honestly and responsibly.
“I swear allegiance to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and I will fulfill my duties with all my responsibility to the nation and the people,” the officials said in the oath-taking ceremony.
Senior leaders of state institutions, members of the Red and White Cabinet, and top military and police officials attended the inauguration ceremony. Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Gen. Agus Subiyanto and National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo were among those included.
The appointments are a reflection of Prabowo’s efforts to consolidate administrative effectiveness and address strategic national priorities. These priorities are particularly in environmental management, food security, and public communication.
Jumhur Hidayat’s appointment has garnered particular public attention. His long history as an activist and his transition into formal government leadership have drawn this attention.
The administration uses the reshuffle to show its commitment to improving institutional performance. This move is in the face of serious economic and policy challenges expected in the coming years.
With the new officials in place, public expectations for policy implementation, transparency, and long-term reform results remain high.
The latest appointments are another important step in shaping the direction of Prabowo’s government. This occurs as it enters a critical stage of national development and governance reform.
