Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the Jakarta home of senior state auditor Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi and seized electronic evidence in its Muara Enim audit-bribery investigation. Investigators are examining an alleged Rp1.6 billion payment intended to influence findings in the South Sumatra regency’s 2025 local-government financial audit, according to KPK officials.
JAKARTA, Thekabarnews.com—Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the Jakarta residence of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) member Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi as investigators expanded their inquiry into alleged bribery involving an audit of the Muara Enim regency government.
Investigators conducted the search on Tuesday, July 14, and seized several electronic items. KPK plans to extract and analyze data from the devices to identify information relevant to the investigation.
“KPK investigators searched BB’s residence in the Jakarta area,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said, referring to Bobby by his initials.
Budi said the operation aimed to gather more evidence for the investigation into the alleged manipulation of findings in a BPK examination of Muara Enim’s 2025 financial statements.
BPK identifies Bobby as Board Member V. He joined the state audit institution for the 2024–2029 term after serving three consecutive terms in the House of Representatives.
KPK investigators allege that Muara Enim officials arranged approximately Rp1.6 billion in payments to influence BPK’s audit findings. The commission suspects that the parties sought to alter unfavorable findings in the South Sumatra regency’s financial report.
The investigation developed from a broader corruption case involving inactive Muara Enim Regent Edison and local government procurement.
In June 2026, KPK named five suspects in the audit case:
- Inactive Muara Enim regent Edison
- BPK South Sumatra audit team official Titin Rita Lestari
- Private individual Augusz Dewanggara
- PT Millenium Solusi Abadi marketing employee Cory Erin Hardi
- PT Millenium Solusi Abadi director Fika
KPK described Augusz as an associate of Bobby. Investigators allege that the payment passed through intermediaries who coordinated with audit officials to influence the examination’s outcome.
According to RRI, investigators suspect Edison provided Rp1.6 billion through Augusz as part of the attempted arrangement.
KPK previously detained Titin and Augusz for an initial 20-day period following the development of the case. KPK had already detained Edison in a related procurement-corruption investigation.
As of July 15, KPK had not publicly named Bobby a suspect. Searching his residence and seizing electronic evidence do not, by themselves, establish criminal responsibility.
KPK said investigators would examine the seized data before deciding whether to question additional witnesses or pursue further legal action.
The case carries national significance because BPK serves as Indonesia’s constitutionally mandated external auditor of state and regional finances.
Any attempt to manipulate its findings could weaken public confidence in financial oversight and allow irregular government spending to escape scrutiny.
KPK has said it will continue tracing communications, financial transactions, and the roles of other parties who may have influenced the Muara Enim audit.
