JAKARTA, thekabarnews.com—Indonesian singer Inul Daratista said she had not received royalties from ANTV for a show produced in 2022. As a result, the matter has drawn public attention.
She later stated that the payment dispute was resolved. However, the controversy has highlighted the financial condition of ANTV’s parent company, PT Intermedia Capital Tbk (MDIA).
Inul filed the complaint on Instagram on July 23, 2026. She said that payments for ANTV programs, including Rumah Idaman, have been late for years. Other entertainment industry folks also posted about late pay.
Inul said the problem was fixed the next day. She said a company hired to recruit people for the 2022 program had replied and committed to the requirement.
“Once again, I sincerely apologize to ANTV, which I deliberately contacted directly because I had almost nowhere else to pursue the payment,” Inul said in a statement on his IG account. She did not disclose the total amount or explain how the company would arrange the payment.

The reports do not specify if the disputed price was payable by ANTV itself or by an external talent supply contracted for the service. ANTV has not given a detailed public explanation of the arrangement.
MDIA is the listed parent company of PT Cakrawala Andalas Televisi, which operates ANTV, a national free-to-air television station, Intermedia Capital said.
The company remained under financial pressure in the first quarter of 2026. Net revenue fell 15.15% to Rp141.71 billion from Rp167.02 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.
Operating profit fell to 14.27 billion rupiah from 31.94 billion. MDIA booked a pre-tax loss of Rp8.31 billion, a much smaller deficit from the Rp58.31 billion loss a year ago. Net loss attributable to shareholders narrowed to Rp8.28 billion from Rp58.26 billion.
Assets of MDIA were Rp3.12 trillion as of March 31, up from Rp2.39 trillion at the end of 2025. Total liabilities reached Rp2.19 trillion, BCA Sekuritas cited.
In January 2024, a creditor filed for court-supervised debt-payment suspension (PKPU) for MDIA. The application also included ANTV operator PT Cakrawala Andalas Televisi, PT Visi Media Asia Tbk, and PT Lativi Mediakarya.
In November 2024, the Jakarta Commercial Court approved the enforceable settlement agreement. The verdict halted the formal PKPU proceedings, but instructed the companies, and their creditors to comply with the approved restructuring plan.
In the PKPU agreement, MDIA’s financial records for September 2025 showed a payable of Rp1.05 trillion and a loan of Rp1.28 trillion due. The company said in the MDIA financial filings that it has begun making payments and restructuring those commitments under the court-approved arrangement.
Although the parties have resolved Inul’s payment dispute, MDIA’s declining revenue, ongoing losses and significant restructured obligations continue to raise concerns about its ability to achieve sustainable profitability.
