JAKARTA, thekabarnews.com — Erin Taulany has denied writing a viral Threads remark about the marriage of her ex-husband, Andre Taulany, to Amanda Rigby.
Erin said someone had taken over her account, but the account-compromise claim has not been independently verified.
The denial followed Andre and Amanda’s wedding on Sunday, September 20.
A screenshot circulating online appeared to show a verified account bearing Erin’s name making an allegation about why the couple married when they did.
The screenshot drew attention to Erin. However, it does not establish who wrote the comment or whether the allegation is true.
“I swear to God, that wasn’t my comment. Someone hijacked my account. Please don’t do that,” Erin wrote on her Threads. Erin also said she had never made the statement shown in the screenshot.
Her response addresses authorship, not the circumstances of Andre and Amanda’s marriage.
As of Monday, September 21, publicly available evidence did not establish who posted the disputed comment or whether someone had accessed Erin’s account without permission.
The allegation in it should therefore not be presented as a fact or attributed to Erin as a confirmed statement.
Andre and Amanda, meanwhile, confirmed that they married on September 20. Their management said the akad nikah [Islamic marriage ceremony] took place in a small gathering attended by family and close friends.
In a statement, the couple thanked their family, friends and the public for their support. Moreover, they asked for privacy following the ceremony.
The wedding had drawn public interest before the screenshot circulated. Andre confirmed the marriage in an Instagram post, while images of the ceremony showed the couple wearing Javanese-style wedding attire.
Reports of the ceremony said Andre gave Amanda Rp20,092,026 in cash and prayer equipment as a dowry. The cash amount reflects their wedding date.
For readers following the online dispute, the distinction is straightforward. Andre and Amanda have confirmed their marriage, but Erin disputes writing the comment shown in the screenshot.
Erin has publicly denied writing the comment and says someone hijacked her account. Without further evidence, readers should not treat either the alleged hijacking or the screenshot’s allegation as fact.
