JAKARTA, thekabarnews.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that investigators took PT Summarecon Agung President Director Adrianto Pitojo Adi and 16 others into custody during a sting operation (OTT). The operation involved building-rights applications in Bogor regency, West Java.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed Adrianto’s detention when contacted on Tuesday, September 15.
“Correct,” Budi said in response to a question about whether the property developer’s president-director was among those detained.
The KPK conducted the operation across Greater Jakarta on Monday, Sept. 14. Investigators suspect that the case involves the processing of hak guna bangunan [right to build] (HGB) in Bogor. The KPK is also investigating other suspected payments.
“This sting operation [OTT] is suspected to be related to the processing of HGB in Bogor regency,” Budi said.
However, the spokesperson did not explain Adrianto’s alleged role in the case.
The KPK had not named any suspects or provided a complete account of the alleged transactions. A KPK detention for questioning does not, by itself, establish criminal responsibility.
Summarecon’s corporate records identify Adrianto as its president-director. The publicly listed company had not issued a statement responding to the KPK operation at the time of publication.
Other people taken into custody included Land and Spatial Control and Enforcement Director General Lampri from the Agrarian and Spatial Planning Ministry/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).
The KPK also detained Bogor Land Office head Sontang Coin Manurung and Tangerang Land Office head Tardi.
Golkar politician Fahd A. Rafiq and former Kebumen deputy regent Arif Sugiyanto were also among those questioned. KPK investigators questioned them alongside other government officials and private-sector representatives.
“The team secured 17 people during the sting operation,” Budi said.
Investigators also confiscated cash in rupiah and foreign currencies stored in suitcases and other containers.
The KPK was still counting and verifying the money, so any reported total remained preliminary. Moreover, the commission had not publicly established who owned each portion of the seized funds.
HGB gives qualifying individuals or Indonesian legal entities the right to construct and own buildings on certain land.
Under Government Regulation No. 18/2021, the government may grant HGB over state land or land under management rights for a maximum of 30 years. Authorities may extend it for up to 20 years. After that, they may subsequently renew it for another maximum period of 30 years.
The KPK was questioning the detained parties to establish the sequence of events and determine their respective legal status.
Budi said investigators would disclose the alleged case structure, evidence and parties held responsible at a news conference after completing the initial examination.
Until that announcement, the investigation remains at a preliminary stage, and authorities have not proven the allegations in court.
