CIREBON, TheKabarNews.com—Indonesian pop band Juicy Luicy will no longer perform at the 2026 Syalala Land festivals in Cirebon and Purwokerto after organizers reviewed public feedback about the announced lineups.
The organizing team confirmed the decision through Syalala Land’s official Instagram account on Monday, September 21. The change applies to the Cirebon festival scheduled for October 31 and the Purwokerto event on November 21.
“Recently, we have received considerable feedback about the lineups for Syalala Land Cirebon and Purwokerto. We have read and seriously considered it,” the organizers said in a statement.
“After conducting an evaluation, we decided to revise the lineup. Juicy Luicy will not perform at Syalala Land Cirebon or Purwokerto,” they added.
The statement did not identify the specific complaints that prompted the evaluation. It also did not allege wrongdoing by the Bandung-based band. Readers should not treat online claims about the decision as confirmed unless either party provides further evidence.
Syalala Land said it accepted full responsibility for the change and based its decision on audience feedback and the operational needs of both events.
“We continue to respect Juicy Luicy and its management team,” the organizers said. “We hope everyone responds to this change with mutual respect and without making personal attacks against anyone.”
The organizers will hold Syalala Land Cirebon at Lapangan Arhanud 14 in Cirebon, West Java.
The festival’s official website confirms the October 31 date and lists several ticket phases, including presale tickets starting at Rp109,000.
The previously announced Cirebon lineup included Juicy Luicy, Dewa 19 featuring Marcello Tahitoe—widely known as Ello—and Last Child. Following Juicy Luicy’s removal, the organizers had not announced a replacement act as of September 22.
Organizers will hold the Purwokerto edition at Menara Teratai on November 21. Reports on the announced lineup identify Dewa 19, featuring Ello and Tiara Andini, as the other performers.
Organizers acknowledged that the change could affect people who bought tickets because of Juicy Luicy’s participation.
They promised to publish further information about the replacement performer and arrangements for existing ticket holders through Syalala Land’s official channels.
“We understand that a change of performer may affect the plans of some ticket holders,” the statement said.
“Information about the replacement act and the next steps for ticket holders will be announced through Syalala Land’s official channels.”
The organizers had not yet detailed whether eligible buyers would receive refunds, exchanges or another form of accommodation.
Ticket holders should therefore wait for an official policy rather than assume that refunds will occur automatically.
Juicy Luicy had not issued a publicly verified response to the Syalala Land decision as of Tuesday.
Until the organizers announce a replacement and ticket policy, both festival dates remain scheduled to proceed with revised lineups.
