Thekabarnews.com—The Iranian government says that recent attacks in the country have killed many civilians, including many women and children.
What happened has made things worse in the community and made people more afraid of more violence. This has caused more worry and a sense of insecurity among the people. Particularly, they fear further attacks and the potential for escalating conflict in their daily lives.
A government spokesperson named Fatemeh Mohajerani said that the attacks killed 216 women, 198 people under 18, and 11 kids under five. Iranian news channels made the news public on March 12, 2026.
Mohajerani says that the youngest person to die at Robat Karim was a baby who was eight months old. Also, a four-month-old baby was the youngest person hurt.
Mohajerani also talked about how the attacks hurt the health care industry. She also reported that the strikes impacted 21 emergency medical units. Three of those units suffered complete destruction.
The attacks also killed 12 healthcare workers. This made it even harder for medical staff to get to the areas that were hit.
She said the damage to hospitals and emergency services has made it harder for doctors and nurses to treat injured people. This has also made it more difficult for them to do other important things.
The New York Times also reported that an early investigation pointed to the US as the attacker of the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab, a city in southern Iran.
On February 28, the event happened and killed at least 175 people, most of whom were kids. Iranian officials said that this attack on civilians was one of the worst in the recent rise in violence.
In his first public statement after the disaster, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said that the government would keep looking for those responsible for what he called “attacks on civilians.”
“We are still very sensitive to the blood of our children,” Mehr, an Iranian news agency, quoted him as saying on March 12.
Khamenei said that attacks on civilian targets, such as the one on the Shajarah Tayyebeh school, were crucial.
Iranian leaders have addressed the attacks and emphasized the importance of the Strait of Hormuz for global oil and energy supplies. This waterway is one of the most used shipping lanes in the world.
The problems and stress in the area have already had an effect on markets all over the world. They have made energy prices go up and made the economy less stable in many areas. Events in and around the strait have caused energy prices to rise in many countries, including the US.
Experts warn that escalating instability could further destabilize global energy markets. The situation could also make tensions between countries even worse in the next few weeks, potentially leading to further economic repercussions and geopolitical conflicts.
