Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that new intelligence shows that both countries used drones that looked like Iranian-made systems. They used these systems to strike targets in several Arab countries.
Araghchi told Doha News and other news media that Iran had received new information. The new intelligence indicated that unknown locations carried out the attacks. These locations used drones resembling Iran’s famous Shahed drone.
“We have heard that the US and Israel used drones that looked like Iranian models to attack several Arab countries,” Araghchi said.
He also said that they changed the drones on purpose and gave them new names to hide where they came from. Araghchi claimed that the “Lucas” system replicates the design of Iran’s Shahed drones.
Iranian officials claim that the plan aims to deceive local residents and exacerbate tensions between Iran and its neighboring countries. Such actions could lead to more military confrontations. In addition, it could bring more tension, ultimately destabilizing the region and increasing the likelihood of armed conflict.
Ebrahim Zolfaghari, who is part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that the actions in question were part of a larger plan to cut off Iran diplomatically.
He suggested that these actions might exacerbate the conflict and erode trust between Iran and Arab countries.
