Pontianak, Thekabarnews.com—The West Kalimantan provincial administration has indicated that it will use Rp20 billion to fix the Keraton Kubu Bridge. This is a large job. As a result, it will make the neighborhood safer and easier to navigate around.
The West Kalimantan administration’s regional secretary, Harisson, made the statement at the Regional Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) for Kubu Raya’s 2027 Work Plan (RKPD). The incident happened on Monday, March 2, at the Kubu Raya Regent’s Office.
Harisson added that the provincial administration has made the bridge a major priority. This is because it is in horrible repair and needs to be fixed right away.
“The provincial government would invest roughly Rp20 billion to fix up the Keraton Kubu Bridge so that people may go around safely and easily,” he stated.
The Keraton Kubu Bridge is a highly significant route to go about because it links important areas in Kubu Raya and the areas around it. Additionally, it supports the economy by making it easier for people and things to get about the area.
People who live near the bridge are anxious about how it is right now, especially when it comes to safety and reliability, according to officials. As a result, the restoration project should solve the building’s structural issues. It should also make it last longer.
The provincial administration wants the initiative to make it easier for residents to move about. This will make it safer and easier for those who drive to work every day and for companies. Moreover, better infrastructure should also help the economy thrive by making it easier for businesses to buy and sell goods and services.
Harisson added that the administration still has to spend money on infrastructure as part of its wider goal to make it simpler to get things done and bring people together in West Kalimantan. He stressed that local and provincial governments need to work together to ensure the project runs as planned.
The administration is rehabilitating the Keraton Kubu Bridge as part of ongoing efforts to improve key infrastructure. This is especially true in areas where transportation access directly affects the economy and public welfare.
Locals welcome the proposal, believing it will benefit the community. Officials believe that improved infrastructure will enhance travel safety, improve traffic flow, and create more opportunities for businesses.
The provincial administration has emphasized again that it will focus on infrastructure projects that will directly serve the public. It will do so especially in places where moving around is still a huge difficulty.
