Pontianak, Thekabarnews.com—The Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) picked the Pontianak City Secretary (Sekda), Amirullah, to be one of 30 state civil servants (ASN) to participate in an international program. This program aims to help them become stronger leaders.
The Strategic Leadership and Governance Program took place in Singapore from February 2 to 6, 2026. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore is undertaking these things so that public workers in Singapore and throughout the world can learn how to execute their jobs better.
Amirullah expressed that his selection was both an honor and a duty. He said, “This course is a terrific chance for me to learn more about strategic leadership and how to run a government well for a long time,” he remarked, Saturday, February 7.
The competitive program brought together civil servants from all around Indonesia. These civil servants had passed a statewide screening process. Meanwhile, the folks who designed the course wanted it to assist the government in making new rules and administering institutions better. In addition, they want to help the government become more open to replacing its leaders.
People talked about the best ways to manage a government and how to use technology to make public services better. Additionally, people discussed how to be a successful leader in a world that is getting more complicated at the five-day event. The course introduced participants to Singapore’s government system. This system is widely recognized for transparency and strong performance.
The folks who ran Pontianak hoped that Amirullah’s work would make things better. In addition, people who monitor these forms of international interactions think they can help countries learn from each other. They believe it can make the networks of institutions stronger.
The SCP project and other programs that teach leadership are particularly vital for helping those who work for the government accomplish their jobs well. This is particularly significant because Indonesia wants to modernize its public services and make its government run better.
Amirullah added that the program’s concepts would help make Pontianak a better location to work and live. Furthermore, this program is part of a larger effort to make Indonesia’s government workers more professional. It also helps them become better able to deal with people from other countries.
