Pontianak, thekabarnews.com – There are serious accusations of violations coming from a restaurant in Pontianak City. The West Kalimantan Regional Management Council of Pemuda Pancasila (MPW PP Kalbar) officially reported the Pontianak Public Order Agency (Satpol PP). The report concerns the management of the Unyuk-unyuk Sedap Rasa or Pondok One Sedap Rasa restaurant, which is on Jalan Teuku Umar, Pontianak. Local people suspect the restaurant is involved in distributing illegal liquor and polluting the environment with waste.
The report is about the supposed selling of alcohol without the right permissions. It also concerns the direct dumping of liquid waste into rivers without going through a wastewater treatment plant. The Deputy Chairman III for Corrections at the MPW PP Kalbar, Syarifal, sent the complaint directly on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. The restaurant’s practices could lead to allegations of distributing illegal liquor and environmental pollution.
Syarifal said that this report came from people in the area who were worried. They feared the restaurant’s actions could break the law and hurt the environment. After getting the complaint, the MPW PP Kalbar searched the area and looked at it in person.
He said the restaurant’s management likely lacked a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) before the inspection. This is something that every restaurant owner should do to keep the environment clean. The situation suggests possible violations relating to the illegal distribution of liquor and environmental contamination.
Syarifal further said that the alleged distribution of alcoholic beverages without permission could break Articles 204 and 300 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). These articles say that selling and giving away intoxicating drinks is against the law in some situations.
The community’s comments and our current understanding suggest that we should not dismiss this alleged violation lightly. He emphasized that it had to do with public order and the health of the environment.
MPW PP Kalbar reported the restaurant
For that reason, the MPW PP Kalbar officially reported the restaurant manager to the Pontianak Public Order Agency (Satpol PP). They asked the government of Pontianak City to act quickly and decisively. This instance may involve temporarily shutting down businesses until all legal requirements for licensing and environmental standards are met. Managers might face allegations regarding illegal liquor distribution and environmental damage.
The MPW PP Kalbar also said that they are getting ready to send a report to the Pontianak City Police. In addition to the Civil Service Police, the article will discuss claims of environmental damage caused by dumping untreated liquid waste. It will also cover claims of crimes related to selling illegal alcohol.
Explanation of restaurant’s lawyer
Ruliady, the restaurant manager’s lawyer, said that they appreciate the legal action launched by MPW PP Kalbar. He says that every citizen is entitled to report. Ruliady added, “We respect the complaint. Our client is ready to go through the legal process and provide additional information.”
He emphasized that the legal procedure is necessary to objectively test and prove all charges, including those suspected of dealing with illegal liquor and environmental pollution. He went on to say that the restaurant management will work with the Pontianak Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) or other law enforcement organizations if they need to. Ruliady stated that, if the court fails to prove the allegation, they may pursue additional legal action for defamation and damages.
