Thekabarnews.com—Do you believe this trend is something new? While we wait for iftar, let’s play a little far and cross time, going back thousands of years.
The Pharaoh (Fir’aun) had already been running a much more advanced and lethal elite propaganda agency. Let’s examine the unique pattern that led to the most renowned battle in history. This battle is the Ultimate Showdown between Prophet Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, and the Egyptian Institution of Magic.
Pharaoh did not call for just any “sorcerer.” He sent out lector priests, or chosen sorcerers, from all throughout Egypt to work as ideological technocrats and public communication experts. In the House of Life (Pr-Ankh), they are the intellectual elite. They utilize mind manipulation to keep the story going that Pharaoh is a god.
What prompted Pharaoh to gather them all together? This move was due to the “crisis of authority” that Prophet Moses’s miracles had created within his government. To make the people believe that Prophet Moses was just a charlatan employing cheap methods, Pharaoh needed technological proof.
Pharaoh sought to entirely erase Prophet Moses’ influence by bringing in thousands of experts. He did not want the Israelites’ liberation struggle to threaten the stability of his monarchy.
The Qur’an definitely says this: “And Pharaoh said, “Bring to me every learned magician.” (Qur’an | Surah Yunus: 79).
The science behind mass gaslighting: These sorcerers use very accurate manipulation tactics in front of millions of people on the holiday (Yaumul Zinah).
Ibn Abbas and Ibn Kathir say that they covered the ropes and wooden poles with mercury (zi’baq). The reason? The hot midday sun (Dhuha) makes the mercury expand and flow. As a result, it looks like the ropes are moving like snakes.
This strategy is the eye-trick plan designed to scare people into remaining obedient. The Quran clearly explains this psychological trick: “He said, “Throw,” and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic.” (Quran | Surah Al-A’raf: 116).
Why is Prophet Moses’ staff more than a symbol?
Many people say that Prophet Moses’ staff is only a “symbol of a snake.” This staff is actually the Ultimate Disruptor, which has real authority. If Pharaoh’s magic simply transformed how things looked and not how much they weighed (the rope stayed a rope), Prophet Moses’ staff changed into Tsu’ban Mubin, a real huge snake.
The technical proof is the act of Talqaf (swallowing). It does not make sense for an optical illusion to eat a real object. But Prophet Moses’ snake actually ate all of the magicians’ staffs in the field.
As soon as the snake came back to the wood in Prophet Moses’ hand, the field was empty. Reality had eaten thousands of the magician’s toys. Allah ﷻ said, “And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is.” (Quran | Surah Ta Ha: 69).
In the midst of Pharaoh’s superpower, Siti Asiah became the most radical “lady boss.” She could have anything she wanted as a queen, yet she decided to go against her husband’s rules. Her courage reached its zenith when she saw how brave Siti Masyitah (her hairstylist) was. She would rather die in a boiling caldron than admit that Pharaoh was a deity.
The palace does not need to prove anything to Asiah. Even when Pharaoh tortured her by binding her wrists and feet to four stakes in the hot sun, she chose honesty above all else.
She laughed through the pain because Allah ﷻ showed her where she would go in heaven. Ibn Abbas reported that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
“The best of women among the people of Paradise are Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, Maryam bint ‘Imran, and Asiyah bint Muzahim, the wife of Pharaoh.” (Hadith Narrated by Ahmad).
Her unwavering faith is remembered in a deeply personal prayer: “My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.” (Quran | Surah At-Tahrim: 11).
The pharaoh, scared because his story of being a god was falling apart—even by his wife—decided to take extreme repressive steps. Some of the magicians admitted that Moses’ miracle happened when he threw down his staff. It clearly devoured thousands of their snakes.
Pharaoh was so angry that he threatened to cut off the hands and feet of the sorcerers who left him and hang them on palm trees. But this threat did not work at all.
The witches who used to be wage slaves are now strong supporters of their beliefs.
Pharaoh yelled, “I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides; then I will surely crucify you all.” (Quran | Surah Al-A’raf: 124).
They answered calmly that they would only go back to Allah. The illustration shows that if someone has “real authority” (truth), no amount of physical intimidation can break their spirit.
Pharaoh did not succeed at all. Ibn Khaldun said that power based on oppression will fall apart when the unity of its elite breaks down. When the sorcerers (the pillars of intellect) and the core family (Asia) bow down to the truth, that is when the grandeur of the Pharaoh dynasty formally ends.
Thousands of “strings packed with mercury” still surround us today: hollow images, fabricated stories, and altered information. Will you keep being fooled, or will you have the courage to stand up for what you believe in, like Siti Asiah did when she chose integrity over the soft throne of the palace?
Oh, you palace! Asiyah, do not offer mercury to change empty images so that the rulers can see clearly with their own eyes.
Do you want to be a slave to validation or a person of integrity?
