Thekabarnews.com—Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the press in front of the public on the night of March 12, 2026. This statement came after reports that Iran had fired missiles at Israel.
Netanyahu went public to dispel rumors that he had died in an earlier Iranian attack. During the presentation, the head of Israel stood between two national flags. He answered questions over a video link.
On February 28, 2026, Netanyahu spoke to the press for the first time since things got worse with Iran.
Iranian missiles struck Israel while Netanyahu was speaking to the media, according to TASS, a Russian news outlet. During the show, air raid sirens went off in many parts of the country. This included Tel Aviv.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that they observed additional missile launches from Iran just before the news conference commenced. People in central Israel got emergency texts on their cell phones telling them to go to a safe place.
Despite warnings of missiles, Netanyahu continued his speech. The live broadcast proceeded smoothly.
During the briefing, Netanyahu stated that Israel and its allies’ attacks over the past two weeks had significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities.
The head of Israel said that Iran’s best soldiers had lost many men in the fight.
Netanyahu also said that he and Donald Trump, the president of the United States, have talked a lot about the fight.
“We want to stop Iran from moving its nuclear and ballistic missile programs underground,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu also said Israel would continue fighting Hezbollah, the Iran-backed armed group in Lebanon, following the missile launches on March 2.
When asked if there was a chance of a military occupation in Lebanon, Netanyahu said he had already spoken with Lebanese officials.
“I told them they were putting their lives at risk,” he said again, and he kept saying that if Hezbollah keeps attacking, Israel will make them pay a “heavy price.”
Netanyahu told reporters that Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, poses a threat, but he did not reveal what military actions Israel was taking.
“I am not promising them that they will be safe,” Netanyahu added.
Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, said the country would continue seeking revenge for those killed in the recent attacks.
He said in a statement that Mehr News Agency quoted that Iran would not forget what he called the blood of martyrs who died in battle.
“We will continue to fulfill our duty to seek revenge on those who killed our martyrs,” he stated.
The conflict between Israel and Iran could further destabilize the Middle East. As tensions continue to rise, this could increase the risk of a wider regional war.
This situation remains particularly concerning as both countries continue to adopt aggressive military actions. This raises the risk of a wider regional conflict. Not only neighboring countries could become involved, but also global powers that may intervene in the escalating tensions.
