Al-Imam Abdullah bin Al-Mubarok, may Allah have mercy on him, was a well-known Tabi’in scholar. He said once:
“Good people in the past did excellent deeds without receiving instructions.” In contrast, we usually dislike doing beneficial things, but we have to. Therefore, we need to become used to doing good.
(Dzammul Hawa, p. 47, by Al-Imam Ibnul Jauzi, may Allah have mercy on him)
May Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala always lead us and help us succeed, making it easy and fun for us to do beneficial things. May we be able to keep doing these good things for the rest of our lives.
