Mempawah, Thekabarnews.com—The West Kalimantan Provincial Government has promised to fully support the Mempawah Regency Administration. This support is for making Bukit Raya Sambora, a beautiful hill in the Toho District’s Sambora Village, a tourist spot.
The mountain is about 606 meters above sea level, and the views from Bukit Raya Sambora are amazing. Officials think that many people will come to see these views. It is excellent for aerial sports, especially paragliding, because it is tall and looks like a hill.
West Kalimantan governor Ria Norsan and Mempawah regent, Erlina, went up the hill on Tuesday, February 17. While he was there, the governor said excellent things about the views from the site.
“The view from here is amazing. It is hard to find scenery like this,” the governor said.
People in charge said that even though the site is naturally beautiful, it needs some work on its infrastructure before it can handle many people. The provincial government has told the Mempawah administration that the best way to spend the Regional Revenues and Expenditures Budget (APBD) is to fix the roads. Furthermore, they advised fixing other infrastructure.
It’s vital to make it easier for cars and motorcycles to reach important places near the hilltop. The provincial government also wants to build more public restrooms, a prayer room, and bigger power lines to support the new buildings. Additionally, they want to clean the pipes that bring water to the house.
“We have asked the Mempawah Regency Administration to give us funds right away so that we can build more infrastructure in this area,” Ria Norsan said.
Regent Erlina said she was ready to follow the order and talked about how having more tourists would be beneficial for the economy. She said that the local economy would grow if more tourists came. That would happen if they had better access and facilities.
Officials say that the growth of Bukit Raya Sambora will not only make West Kalimantan a more popular place for tourists to visit, but it will also bring in new money for nearby communities. This will happen through small businesses, hospitality services, and creative economy projects.
The Mempawah administration is trying to make it easier for tourists to get to natural attractions. Bukit Raya Sambora could soon be one of the most popular places to visit in West Kalimantan.
