A recent study reveals that women who drink modest amounts of coffee in middle age may have healthier aging, with better physical and mental abilities and a lower chance of significant chronic diseases later in life.
At the big scientific conference Nutrition 2025, experts talked about the results. They said that women who drank coffee frequently had superior long-term health than women who didn’t. The study found that drinking modest amounts of coffee seems to help with several elements of healthy aging.
Chlorogenic acids are one of the bioactive substances found in coffee. They may help control inflammation, improve glucose metabolism, and keep blood vessels healthy. These chemicals may help the body keep important processes that affect aging and the risk of disease in balance.
Researchers found that the strongest links were between women who drank from two to four cups of coffee a day, which is about 300 milligrams of caffeine. Researchers connected this range to improved mobility, enhanced cognitive function, and a decreased risk of serious long-term diseases.
